At least once in your lifetime you have been served the wrong food or drink at a restaurant. You asked for plain and got fully-loaded or you asked for no ice and, well, you got ice! If you think to yourself, "I could do a better job at running this restaurant," you should consider becoming a

In order to become a restaurant manager, you've got to be willing to work. If you have the drive to make people happy and the patience to handle a large customer base, your career as a restaurant manager will prosper.

There is so much information available at your fingertips to get become a restaurant manager. Whether it's via online degree or sitting in the actual classroom, it's pretty easy to get a basic understanding of the requirements and skills needed to manage your own restaurant. Some of these skills include politely handling customers, taking responsibility for employee mistakes and learning how to bus tables and work the grill.

Some of the courses required to become a restaurant manager include finance, marketing, food management, hygiene and Hospitality management. These classes will provide you with the know how to perform the tasks required of a restaurant manager. These tasks include formulating the employee schedule, hiring the staff, overseeing the preparation of meals, pricing the items on the menu and making sure that your restaurant is in compliance with health codes.

Upon graduation, you can seek jobs in fast food, posh and chain restaurants. Like any other job, becoming a restaurant manager isn't all fun and games. One must be prepared to work in a stressful environment, complete with long hours, and nights, weekends and even holidays.
